Ivoire Hydrogène wins prize

AHP congratulates Ivoire Hydrogène, who have received the "Energy & Telecommunications" Prize of the Sustainable City Initiatives Competition (CIVD) organized by the Club Abidjan Ville Durable which is supported by Bruno Nabagne Kone - Minister of Construction, Housing, Sanitation and Urban Development &

Jean-Christophe Belliard - French Ambassador in Cote d'Ivoire.


This was a result of the success of its IH2 CAP 2023 project, which aims to install the first hydrogen demonstrator (GE H2) during the 2024 football Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) which will be held in Côte d'Ivoire / Ivory Coast.


The iH2 CAP 2023 project aims to educate Schools, Universities, Industry and visitors to AFCON on the benefits and opportunities of green hydrogen in West Africa.


"This award is for us an essential step for the development of industrial projects for the production of green hydrogen. Also it reinforces our strategy of democratization of hydrogen in Côte d’Ivoire and more generally in West Africa." said Philibert Dutrieux the CEO of iH2 - Ivoire Hydrogène, which is an AHP founding member.
