Hydrogen Europe, African Hydrogen Partnership (AHP) and MENA Hydrogen Alliance (Dii Desert Energy)

Europe cannot possibly achieve sustainable Net Zero targets by 2050 without carbon-free green or natural hydrogen from Africa and the Middle East.

Jorgo Chatzimarkakis and Frank Engel (both at Hydrogen Europe), Frank Wouters (MENA Hydrogen Alliance, Dii Desert Energy) and Siggi Huegemann (African Hydrogen Partnership) discussed areas of close cooperation between the three organizations during face-to-face meetings in Brussels on 10th September 2021.

The participants agreed to collaborate on strengthening the efforts of developing demand for imported hydrogen in Europe as well as supply from Africa and the Middle East.
