Hydrogenious: Hydrogen supply concept for North Africa

Source: "Development Minister at Hydrogenious", Hydrogenious Technologies, 12th September 2017

How can innovate energy storage technology accelerate the economic and humanitarian progress in developing countries? Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Dr. Gerd Müller and Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Education and Research Stefan Müller searched for solutions at Hydrogenious Technologies in Erlangen.

The Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) Technology, developed by Hydrogenious, can be used to provide energy for remote locations throughout North Africa that are currently without connection to the energy network. This is because energy can be transported in large quantities when stored in form of hydrogen in Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers.

As an immediate result of the visit, Hydrogenious Technologies started developing an energy concept for the supply of solar-rich North African regions as requested by Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Dr. Gerd Müller. Consecutively, the ministry will evaluate the possibilities for implementation of the concept.
